Woodrow Muhammad
Director of Planning
Woodrow has been with the Capital Region Planning Commission since July 2023. He started his professional career as a land use planner for the East Baton Rouge Planning Commission. He worked in economic development and coordinated the development of a strategic plan, assisting as a project manager for the Baton Rouge North Economic Development District. In addition, he was the Planning and Zoning Director of the City of Central, overseeing various projects such as Zoning Map Development, Comprehensive Land Use Plan Implementation, and Zoning Code Development. Woodrow holds a 2002 undergraduate degree in Architecture from Southern University and a 2008 master’s degree from Louisiana State University in Landscape Architecture.
